Beautiful Embroidery But Very Lightweight

I really liked the cape, especially the embroidery but was somewhat disappointed with the weight of the garment. I expected the cape to be somewhat heavy to the feel as to lay good on the mannequin I am using for display . But it is extremely lightweight...maybe 3 pounds...6-7 pounds would have been my target but I am not a cape maker. I just think it would feel better and hang better when draped over the shoulders. My unprofessional opinion...

Thank you for your review, Anthony. We’re very happy to hear that you liked the embroidery and overall appearance of the cape.

Some of our capes are indeed much heavier, such as the Stone & Flame or the Aloha cape, which feature large cabochons and heavier embellishments. The Peacock cape, however, was designed differently. While the embroidery is extensive and detailed, the materials used — including the rhinestones and nailheads decorating the embroidery — are intentionally lightweight. This allows the cape to remain more comfortable to wear while still achieving the dramatic visual effect of the original design.

We completely understand your comments regarding the drape and display on a mannequin, and your feedback is appreciated. Different cape styles can vary greatly in weight and structure depending on the intended look and materials used. Thank you again for sharing your thoughts and for your support
